WALKING 4 FRIENDSHIP 3K
Sunday, April 25, 2021
After hosting one of the first virtual events in our community last year, we thought to ourselves... how could we outdo ourselves this year, in a COVID-safe manner?
This year, join us as we come together again for Friendship Circle of Miami's 12th Annual Walking4Friendship 3K - in support of the special needs community. Over the years, the walkathon has raised over $1.2 million (that's a lot of friendships!) for our programs which uplift children and teens with autism and other special needs through one-to-one friendships with teenage volunteers. We also support parents and caregivers, too.
This year's walkathon will pay homage to the courage and resiliency of our community while raising funds to enable us to help the community recover, and thrive... one friendship at a time.
The walkathon will embody the spirit and camaraderie of prior years' walkathons while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Choose How You Walk
We plan to hold our walk safely, conditions permitting - or you can choose to walk with friends and families on your own. More details on participation coming soon!
The walkathon will follow recommended CDC health guidelines for events and gatherings. We will continually monitor the situation and make any adjustments to the event, with the safety health and safety of our participants, staff, and volunteers as our top priorities.
Our special needs community has been seriously impacted by the pandemic. All funds raised from the walk will directly support our mission of empowering and uplifting individuals with special needs and their families. Learn more about our mission as well as our vision for the future below:
