Join us for another exhilarating Walking 4 Friendship 3K raising funds and awareness for Friendship Circle and our awesome special needs community! The event will feature a 3K followed by a Community Carnival, where there will be rides, entertainment, and food for the whole family to enjoy.
Over the years, Walking 4 Friendship has raised over $1.4 million (that's a lot of friendships!) for our programs which uplift individuals who have autism and other special needs through one-to-one friendships with teenage volunteers. To learn more about our programs, visit our website.
Why Do We Walk?
We're walking to create a community where #We All Belong; everyone. We recently broke ground on our new facility, the Friendship Campus, the cornerstone of our vision for a more inclusive Miami for individuals with special needs. The Friendship Campus will anchor expanded services and programming, and provide friendship, belonging, and a sense of community to individuals of all ages with special needs for generations.
We have now entered a very exciting phase of the Friendship Campus project, and we need the help of you, your friends, and the community to take us to the finish line. Construction is now underway - on the site of our old campus - to make way for the new Friendship Campus (see below!). Although we have successfully raised the lion's share of funding for the project, we still have a few million to raise to complete construction.
So - lace up, spread the word, and join us on May 7 as we Walk the Walk to build a community where #WeAll(truly)Belong!
